This 11-DVD American-Japanese Shooto Fighting (MMA) Apprentice-Instructor/1st Dan Black Belt series will equip you to become a successful basic coach or competitor in MMA or Pancrase style competition! This course blends techniques from various systems in order to become a complete Mixed Martial Arts competitor such as; Western Boxing, Muay Thai Kickboxing, Wrestling, Shooto (aka Shoot Wrestling/Japanese MMA), Catch-Wrestling, Judo, Shoot Fighting, Pancrase (Hybrid Wrestling), Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, & Sambo style leg locks! This course takes you from beginner to the advanced level, so anyone can learn this system!

This system is Rooted in Shooto (Japanese MMA), but with more American Boxing & Wrestling techniques integrated. Master-Mike is a certified Instructor in: Catch Wrestling, Shooto (Shoot Wrestling), Shoot Fighting (Former ISFA member), Judo, BJJ, Muay Thai, Boxing, & American ShootBoxing! The American Shooto Fighting system is recognized thru the International All Style Budo Federation (Former I.A.S.B.F. President Graham Arnott, 10th Dan) which Master-Mike is a Soke under!

COURSE OUTLINE:

 

Boxing/Cage Boxing (Volume-1)

Learn the Fundamentals; Stances, Footwork, Blocks, Evasions and Punches. This DVD also teaches you various combinations. Focus Mitts, Glove Drills & Bag work is included as well as theory and a clear understanding of body mechanics covering all angles of the art of Western Boxing. In addition to Western Boxing, This DVD covers the correct stance and Cage Boxing strikes when in a MMA Tournament!

On the 2nd informative Boxing Basics DVD Coach “Mohawk” Mike Govich teaches you; stances, footwork, punches, 2, 3, & 4 strike combos, Manny Pacquiao Boxing tactics, & feints/fakes! This Boxing DVD will improve your Boxing and Cage Fighting!

Muay Thai/Cage Kickboxing/Shoot Wrestling/Pancrase (Volume-2)

On the part-1 “Muay Thai” DVD we cover Thai-Boxing fundamental; stances, power-kicking, elbows, knee strikes, defense, clinch fighting (offense and defense) & combinations. Also included are the “Do’s & Don’ts” when using your kickboxing techniques in a MMA competition! This Basic & short dvd gets right to the point with over 20 techniques demonstrated one time slowly, unlike other instructional dvd’s where they teach only a few techniques and repeat them for over an hour!

On the part-2 “Shooto Techniques” DVD we cover the differences between; Pancrase (Hybrid Wrestling), Shooto, Shootfighting and MMA (Cage Fighting). Also taught are; Shooto Stances (Striking & Grappling) and Footwork, the Shooto Uppercut, Elbow Strikes for Cage Fighting, Shooto Knee Strikes, the Shooto Corkscrew Kick, Pancrase Open Hand Strikes, Pancrase Combos, Shooto Combos, MMA Combos, and the Shooto-Boxing Combinations!

Grappling Drills (Volume-3)

This Basic Grappling Drills DVD teaches you; Warm-Ups, Isometric Stretching, Rolling & Falling techniques, Shoot Drill, Hip Escape Drill, Pummel Drill, & Sprawling methods!

Catch-Wrestling Clinch Takedowns (Volume-4)

This DVD teaches you The Wrestler’s Clinch using the Arm Drag into various Takedowns landing into both upper & lower body submissions!

Ground Control (Volume-5)

This DVD teaches you basic Ground Control Drills for various positions like the Mount, Side Control, Knee on the Stomach, Scarf-Hold, North & South & the Reverse Sit-Out position!

 

Shooto Grappling (Volume-6)

DVD #1
This basic Shooto Grappling DVD teaches you; Scarf-Hold submissions & counters, an Achilles-Hold counter, and you will also learn the science of Vale Tudo Takedowns & Throws!

This DVD teaches you how to pass the guard, unique neck cranks, arm & leg locks, the Turtle (Referee) Position, & the Triangle Choke with various wrist & arm locks!

 

Judo Freestyle (Volume-7)

This DVD teaches you No-Gi Judo! This level will teach you various Throws needed for both No-Gi Submission Grappling or MMA tournaments! You will learn; Judo Drills, Clinch Counters, Throwing Principles, Osoto-Gari, Ouchi-Gari, Drop-Seonage, Ouchi-Mata, Kuzushi (8 Off-Balancement Angles), Timing your Distance into Throws, Ogoshi, & Kubi Nage!

Shooto Fighting (Volume-8)

This American Shooto Fighting DVD covers various topics such as; Thai Pad Drills, Focus Mitts Drills, & Empty Hand Drills. In this DVD you will learn multiple Ground Fighting positions such as the; Mount, Cross Mount, 1/2 Mount, Rear Mount, Knee Mount, Guard, Open Guard, 1/2 Guard, Turtle Position, & the Scarf-Hold, including their submissions & counters! Also taught is how to catch kicks and turn them into foot locks! You will learn Combinations flowing between the; Kicking, Punching, Clinch/Throwing, & Ground Fighting ranges. Also taught are advanced leg locks!
